What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Why is MFA important?

Use two of the following as part of your login:

  • Something you know (Password).
  • Something you have (A numeric token generated by a fob or app
    on your phone).
  • Something you are (Biometrics like Face ID or fingerprint).

Passwords may get compromised in many ways:

  • Infostealer on your PC or phone
  • Social engineering/phishing
  • Password re-use (that would not happen to you, would it?)
  • System misconfiguration
